Advertising & Tracking Policy

The Commons is committed to protecting student privacy and does not use student data for advertising or commercial profiling. Our student application and school platform are treated separately from our public marketing website.

Student Application and School Platform

The Commons does not:

• Display advertising to students;
• Use student data for targeted, behavioral, or personalized advertising;
• Sell student data or share student data with advertisers;
• Permit third parties to collect or track student information for advertising purposes;
• Use advertising pixels, web beacons, or similar advertising technologies to track students within The Commons student application; or
• Create commercial profiles of students for advertising or marketing purposes.

Because The Commons does not share student data for advertising purposes, there is not any advertising-related sharing of student data for students or families to opt out of.

These commitments apply to The Commons student application and school-directed services.

Public Website

The Commons' public marketing website is separate from our student application and school platform.

Our public website currently uses:

• Google Analytics to understand website traffic and how visitors interact with our website.
• Google Ads to advertise The Commons and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. We do not currently use Google Ads to remarket to previous website visitors.
• HubSpot to manage customer and prospective-customer relationships and process information voluntarily submitted through website forms, such as requests for information or demonstrations.

These services may use cookies or similar technologies in connection with visits to our public website. They are not used within The Commons student application to track students for advertising purposes, and student data collected or processed through The Commons' school-directed services is not provided to these services for advertising.

Our Commitment

Student data is used only to provide and support services authorized by our school partners. The Commons does not sell student data, use student data for advertising, use student data to build commercial profiles, or permit advertising providers to use student data for their own advertising or commercial purposes.
