Last Updated: September 2026
The Commons does not currently use artificial intelligence or generative AI as part of the student experience or to process student data. AI is not used to monitor students, analyze student behavior or communications, determine student compliance, make decisions about students, or enforce school phone policies.
The Commons does not provide student personally identifiable information, roster data, identifiable device or compliance data, student communications, or other identifiable student information to generative AI services for training, profiling, advertising, or other commercial purposes.
The Commons personnel and development partners may use AI-assisted tools for general business and software development activities, such as code development and review. These tools are subject to The Commons' student data privacy and security requirements. Student data may not be entered into AI tools for unauthorized purposes.
Any future use of artificial intelligence that materially changes how The Commons processes student information will undergo privacy and security review before implementation, and our public disclosures will be updated as appropriate.
